The group exhibition "Genesis 2.0" in the Atelierhof Kreuzberg, Schleiermacher Str. 31 in 10961 Berlin, opening on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 7 p.m. will be presented by 10 artists.
Idea and concept: Peter Schlangenbader.
The theme refers to the current electronic creation story, the "Genesis 2.0". Man creates hybrid creatures, cyborgs, robots in his own image using the latest technological level, which are used with the support of artificial intelligence for all kinds of services, military operations and space missions.
All highly developed countries such as America, China, Japan, Russia, India, South Korea, Germany have been working on such projects for decades. In some countries they are already being used. The "simple, normal" human is becoming obsolete, almost all areas of life have been increasingly optimized by AI for years. The second creation story is an unprecedented technical development in human history. Human and animal-like beings are being produced that make literary role models such as the Golem or Frankenstein look old. Added to this is the equally rapid development of cyberspace and holography. These facts inspire me, they stimulate my mind so that I can paint with complete freedom, because the free spirit is still the greatest force.
The 10 artists I have chosen are Andrea Cataudella, Christoph Damm, Andreas Helfer, Zam Johnson, Viktoria R. Müller, Larissa Nod Martin Reiter, Astrid Roeken, Peter Schlangenbader, Ila Wingen will show paintings and objects on this topic, not as scientists but as artists with free-spirited chutzpah.
On the opening night, the punk band CYBER ROMEO will give a concert.
